History
Aus Murnau (Bayern) 1763 nach Steyr gekommen, 1765 gründete er die Eisenhandlung J. J. Voith. Er war ab 1777 mit Barbara Redtenbacher aus Kirchdorf verheiratet. Ab 1783 besaß er auch das Schloss Engelsegg (Redtenbachergasse Nr. 9). 1804 gründet er mit seiner Frau Barbara und dem Cousin seiner Frau, Aloiysius Redtenbacher Senior, eine Handlungsgesellschaft. Er starb am 22. Jänner 1809.
